Hand crafted by our women artisans in rural Vietnam and Cambodia. Traditional log cabin quilts typically use a red center square, meant to symbolize the hearth of a home, and are often associated with the pioneer movement of the 1800s. Log cabin quilts were also used to symbolize stops on the Underground Railroad. This is TRADITIONAL COUNTRY LOG CABIN QUILT in a blue tone.
The quilt is HAND-QUILTED PATCHWORK in 100% cotton throughout. The backing is simply one fabric in a complementary colour in cotton. Between the hand-stitched layers is a filling of polyester batting for warmth and comfort. The layers are stitched together in intricate patterns to prevent shifting and to keep the layers secure for the long life of the quilt.
Our quilts are of the highest quality and easy to look after. Simply machine wash with cold water on a delicate setting with mild laundry detergent, then lay out flat to dry in the shade. It will become softer and cozier with every wash.
Every item purchased from Mekong Quilts is a gift that gives twice.
